Why do 660g and 1.1L refer to the same cylinder?

How often will you change cylinders?

Less often as the cylinder gets larger — that is the trade-off the range turns on. A 4.4L carries 3000g against the 3.3L's 2000g and the 660g's 660g, so at identical usage the changeovers stretch out in that order.

Frequency depends entirely on your volume, so no honest guide can give you a figure in weeks. What is worth weighing is disruption: a mid-service changeover means stopping, checking the regulator seal, swapping the cylinder and getting back on the pass. Kitchens that whip constantly may prefer to size up to keep that off the service floor, and fewer changeovers also mean less packaging.

How should cream charger cylinders be stored and handled?

Store them upright, dry, secured against falling, and away from heat. Pressure inside a cylinder rises as its temperature rises, so keep them clear of ovens, grills, hot plates, dishwashers, hot-water services and direct sun through a window. A cylinder parked beside a combi oven is a habit worth breaking.

Dry storage matters because moisture under the base or around the valve encourages rust, and a corroded thread is a poor sealing surface for a regulator. Keep the valve capped when the cylinder is not in use.

Handling scales with size. A 660g moves in one hand. The 4.4L is a two-hand item and needs a planned home: waist-height shelving or a floor spot where it stands upright without being knocked, never an overhead shelf.
